Life Updates
From weheartit.com
Hi there, it's Daisy here.
It has been over a month since we updated this blog. Life has been crazy and we just couldn't find the time to write. We apologise for that.
In late February, Gatsby and I started new semester. Both of us now study in the same campus so we get to see each other on a daily basis. I have started living in my rented apartment now and Gatsby would often take me out on a date. We spent so much time together every week until.......
The recent pandemic outbreak happened. The government announced a movement control order which is predicted to end on April 14th. It was a massive chaos. Students were told to leave the campus and all lectures and classes will be done online. Of course, everyone including me wanted to go home. I bought a flight ticket from AirAsia to return to my hometown only to find out that my flight was cancelled just hours prior to my departure time. I had a mental breakdown thinking that I wouldn't be able to go home. Gatsby comforted me at 4am in the morning and I was very glad to have him by my side.
On the same day, I was told that Malaysia Airlines was still flying to my hometown. So, I bought a new flight ticket that costed quite a fortune and I was very happy and relieved that I made it back home.
Since then, Gatsby and I are home with our family respectively. I have been busy spending time with my family and filling up my journal (yes, I know I haven't updated my journal for quite some time, I'm sorry ♥) and also looking for some inspirations to write in this blog. I promise to write quality content so please look forward to it.
To our readers, I pray that all of us are given tremendous strength to go through this tough time. In order for this pandemic to stop, we have to break the chain by staying at home. Therefore, we must play our part. If you are not feeling well and show the symptoms of COVID-19, please go see the doctor immediately. Last but not least, I give my utmost salute and respect to frontliners such as health professionals and essential service providers.
Be safe and stay strong everyone.
Love,
Daisy.
